COOK ISLANDS CONTROL
The External Affairs Amendment Bill, which has been introduced in the House of Representatives, restores the control of the Cook Islands to a, special Minister, instead of placing the Islands under the Minister of External Affairs as contemplated by the legislation of last session. This means that the Cook Islands Department will remain separate from External Affairs.
