PAPER SUPELY AND CHEAP POWER
(INIMD PRESS ASSOCIATION.—CePTRIGHT.i (AUSTJiALIMr-HEir ZBALANB CABLE ASSOCIATION.* (Received August 11, 10 a.m.) OTTAWA, 10th August. The New Zealand delegates to the Imperial Press Conference waited as a deputation on Sir G. E. Foster, Minister of Trade and Commerce, regarding the paper supplies, and pointed out the serious position of the Dominion newspa.pea-8. The Minister, in a sympathetic reply, promised to assist in every possible way. The New Zealanders are greatly impressed by the developments and potentialities ;of Nia.ga.ra, and by the civic expansion and industrial enterprise in Toronto and the surrounding towns, resulting largely from cheap power. These conditions led the delegates unanimously to express the opinion that Newt Zealand should lose no time in accelerating its hydro-electric schemes
