SETTLEMENT AT KAIWARRA,
The; little ■ settlement of .cottages for railwaymen>at'Kaiwarra has reached the stage" where "water" supply and drainage are necessary, and with a view to facilitating this a conference took place in the Mayor's P*oom at the Twn Hstt to-day, between the Mayor (Mr; J. P. Luke), ■Gouncillor''L."M'KenziecMr, W. H. Morton, .(City,[Engineer), Mr. G. A. Troup (Architect for the Railway Department), Mr. P. S. X., Maeassey ' (of the Crown Law Office), and-the City Solicitor (Mr. 3. O'Shea). The matter has already been before the ..City..Council,- which"; deoided on the conference., to', arrange ' details. These were settled satisfactorily to-day, with a view of permitting the occupation. of the dwellings as soon as> possible; 1
