SHOOTING AT BISLEY

Of interest to riflemen is the' result of a match which took place at Bisley recently, the contestants firing at the new targets to be used during the Bisley meeting proper. These were described as being "easy." The light was good, and there was a steady wind blowing from the left. Remarkable results were obtained, a string of bull's-eyes being registered on every hand at all the ranges. Details of one competition are as follow:—City Rifle Club—Spoon Handicap, seven shots at 200, 500, and. 600 yards, highest possible.'score 105:— J. J. Steward (captain) 103, F. A. Rydon 102, F. O. Thompson 101, N. T. Cross 101, J. Ely 100, G. W. Downs 99, A. C. Bolton 99, K. 6. •Manual S9. These scores were made under King's Prize, First Stage (old) conditions. Steward's performance was regarded as phenomenal, in that he dropped only one point at 2Coyds and one at 600 yds. "
