The sorting of clothes after the commercial travellers' campaign in Auckland for their poorer fellow-citizens seems to have been "some task." An Auckland paper says that at the Drill Hall a large ■band of helpers from the various social organisations and . from the • Commercial Travellers'' Club's ladies' committee assisted in the work. This proved no light ■undertaking, and although about sixty workers were busy . all day, they got through, only a little more than half the %uge pile which had apoumulated. The work was well organised, the parcels ■being opened on long trestle tables, and distributed among the piles laid out in spaces separately allotted to men, women, and children's clothing. Most of the garments were in good condition, ■and will undoubtedly prove a great boon ■to the pool and needy. The question of distribxition will be considered ■by a committee representing the ciub, and all the social organisations that will benefit from the travellers' generous campaign.
