WELLINGTON FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION

The committee of management of the Wellington Football Association . met last night, Mr. W. Auld being in tho chair. • :.'..■■■

A letter was received stating that during the junior grade match, Brooklyn v. Thistle, at Kilbirnie, on the 12th, a member of the former team wae injured, whereupon, the captains conferred, and agreed to play a substitute. The referee'refused, to allow' thi^.; It was stated that it was contrary to' the rules to replace men, but as other referees had allowed this to be done, it was thought time that, a definite understanding was reached. It was decided to write to the Referees' Association informing that body that no player may be replaced, and tc inform the club captains-of the decision. ■■:'■ .

The Boys' Snb-Committee .reported that St. Anne'_' Club, in a ; letter . to the committee, complained that in their Ratch against Th"orndon Marist (7th. class) the latter' had. played two boys over age.. A later letter pointed but that the two boys in question were not over age, though others were. As the offenders were williug to forfeit 1 any points gained in this manner, the committee agreed to allow the games. The application of Institute to play Martinborough, at Martmborough, was granted. , :

. ; In regard to club titles, a, letter was received from the N.Z.F.A. stating that each association had local jurisdiction, subject -to the approval of the N.Z.F.A., the central authority, in selecting club titles. Where these were deemed to be unsuitable, the N.Z.F.A. had the power to act. ■ ' :

South Wellington • wrote applying - for permission to enter a , team '.. in th« Beventh division. This request waß referred to the Fixtures Committee.

A letter from Levin 6tated that ao players there were desirous of forming a club, they would, like a copy of the rules. The letter was received.

Applications for the transfers of R. D. Grimwood to the Thistle' from'Petone, and D. Jenkins from South Wellington to Institute,' were received.
