SYDNEY, This Day. A message received yesterday reported that the Havre is 29 miles off Lord Howe Island (300 miles east of Port Ma'cquarie, in New South Wales). Another message received last night stated that it was becoming increasingly difficult to secure fuel to produce power for the wireless messages, which were then becoming very weak. The master was instructed to burn flares at the masthead to assist the sea-rching steamers.
