0. Henry's story; "The Halberdier," adapted to_ the screen under the title of "You're Fired," is now being presented at the Artcraft Theatre. Wallace Reid plays the, part of the rich young idler, who is forced to«work for a month without losing his job in order to win the girl he loves. He takes up office work, then accepts employment ns a xylophone player in an orchestra, and finally works in. an old Bohemian cafe. It is in this place that he brings about the downfall of a rival who has plotted to rob the girl's father. This, of course, wins for him the girl. Also showing is a bright comedy, "Let's Elope," with Marguerite Clark in the lead. It deals with the forgetfulness of a husband, leading to the wife seeking entertainment elsewhere. The programme is completed by other enjoyable items.
