The Tokio correspondent of the New York Sun states that, according to an authoritative report, General Oi, Commander of the Japanese Forces in Siberia, is. being instructed to cease military operations pending the arrival 'in Siberia of a special commissioner to investigate the situation. It is understood that the Hara Cabinet at a meeting on 16th April decided on this course.

The Chicago Tribune's Shanghai correspondent states that the Japanese troops in Northern Manchuria are occupying the Chinese Eastern Railroad for the alleged purpose of protecting the country against the Bolsheviks.
