The Chairman of the' Mairoe Hatchery Board, Hon. G. M. Thomson, states that the Government grant of £200 pe-r annum for a research student will be paid from the time the appointment is made. At present no- zoological student is available, but the professors at the- four universities and colleges have been communicated with in-, the hope that someone will be found anxious to prosecute research m marine zoology.
