A CHANGE IN THE WEATHER

High pressure still rules in the Dominion, but the barometer has fallen considerably in the South, and northerly winds have freshened, while, moderate gales were reported this morning from Hokianga Heads and Manukau Heads. Drizzling rain fell this morning at Russell, but the immediate seat of tlie disturbance is forecasted to the south of Cook Strait. Warning signals are exhibited at Castlepoint and all the South Island stations to-day, and northerly to westerly winds, strong to gale', may be expected in those regions. The weather will probably'be cloudy and unsettled, with .rain following, while ■ increasing haziness and cloudiness are forecasted generally. Warmer conditions will probably prevail on the East Coast, and strong north westerly winds increasing to gales may be looked for i« the vicinity of Wellington.
