CHRISTCHURCH TRIBUNAL'S
WORK.

The Chairman of the local Price Investigating Tribunal stated that at the present time* the tribunal was conducting investigations in pursuance of complaints received' affecting tea*, coal, woollen goods, wheat, milk, and house property.
With regard to wheat, a« the regulations governing the price had not been published prior to 12th April, the tribunal had merely ordered refunds in some cases in which the prices charged were considered excessive, and had warned the merchants concerned that, the prices having, now been published, any further transactions in which prices in excess of those published were charged would be dealt with und,or the Act.
There were many complaints of a minor nature before the tribunal, and so "far those received from the public had been so numerous that the tribunal had not been ablo to conduct any investigations on it<j own account.
