McCALL.—In loving memory of C 4562 LanceCorporal Alfred McCall, dearly beloved youngest son of James W. and Margaret McCall, 20, Moxham-avenue, Hataitai..Wellington, who was killed in action somewhere in France on the 16th April, 1918. His duty nobly done. Mourn not for Mm, nor lay your heart within Think you those nurrow bounds could hold that spirit pure and brave? Earth's uniform discarded now beneath tnat sod is laid. He had liis marching orders, as a soldier ne obeyed. A soldier does not ask nor enoose the place or way to serve. And from the path that duty points no soldier's steps may swerve; So when from that red field of strife death's bugle called him far, He turned his face towards the steep where Heaven's outposts are. Maitland, Australian Forces, killed in (action in France on the 16th April, IDIS,- beloved eldest son of the late F. G. and Mrs. Maitland. of Wellington. Loved most by those who knew him best.
