SECTION PLAY AT PALMERSTON.

_ PALMERSTON N., 6th. April. Section winners in the Mar.awatu Centre's tournament continued play this afternoon with the following results: Section A.—Second Round: Beynon 15 ■ beat Bartholomew 10 ; Ramsay 24 beat Smith 15. Third Round : Smith 21 beat Bartholomew 13; Beynon 19 beat Ramsay 12.

Section B.—Second Round: Wylie 18 beat Mason ' 17; Laurenson 16 beat Scrivener 15. Third Round: Scrivener 20 beat Mason 15 ; Wylie 19 beat LaurenBon 9.

Section C.—Second Round : Laws 21 beat Clarke 17; Duff 16 beat Bissell 15. Third Round : Clarke and Bissell retired and the game between Laws and Duff was unfinished, as it did not affect the result. The draw for the six rinks remaining resulted as follows .-—First •Round : Laurenson plays Wylie and Laws plays-Duff ; byes, Scrivener and Beynon. Second Round : Scivener plays Laws or Duff, Beynon plays Laurenson or Wylie.

PALMERSTON N., This Day. In this morning's play in the Manawatu Centre's bowling tournament, Wylie .<Xewtown)\ beat Laurenson (Manawatu) 17-10 • Laws (Victoria) beat Duff (Eketahuna) 14-13 . For the semifinals, Wylie plays Beynon (Petone), and Laws (Victoriaj'plays Scrivener (St. John's).

In section play-at- the "cowling tournament to-day, Laws beat Duff, and Wylie beat Laui'enson. Rain stopped play at 1.30 p.m.. The rinks left in are those of Wylie, Beynon, Laws and Scrivener.
