WELLINGTON COLLEGE WAR MEMORIAL
TO THE BDITOR. Sir, —I desire to record my hearty appreciation of the sub-leader, "A Maai and a Memorial," appealing ia - this evening's Post. I wanted to say precisely the same thing in an article which I wrote for The WelJingtonian three yeajs ago, commending the memorial to the notice of old boys, but, as that article was subject to. censorship by Mr. Kith himself, I was not able.to say it. I now. ask you to give me an opportunity of pointing out that everyone of the 1600 odd old boys who went to the front waa at one time under the influence of the headmaster who is now retiring, and that, hi honouring' them, we honour him. Surely, no other argument is required to make our appeal effective.—l am, etc.,. A. R. MEEK.. 31st March.
