CHBISTCHXFRCH, 31st March.. The Conciliation Council was engaged .hearing the moulders'^ dispute. The union asked for a five-day weeV and 3s per hour, which the employers opposed. Tho union eventually decided to accept a 44-hour week, but would not agree to the employers' offer of 2s 3d per hour, including a- bonus. Further hearing wasadjournttS
, The engineers' dispute wae also heard. The union asked for a 40-hbur week and wages ranging from 2s. 9d.-to 3s per hour. After discussion the union agreed to a 44-lioiu 1 week, with wages at the rate.of&i per hour for engineers and Is IOAd for stock workers, 'planers, etc., with a. bonus of 3d in each case.
