(UNITBD PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPTWOHT.)
(AUSTRALIA!! • NETV ZEALAND CABUS ASSOCIATION.)
(Received April 1, 1 a.m.) LONDON, 31st March',
Mr. J. Hodges, - ex-Minister of Pensions, advises the miners to accept the Government offer. There is a general feeling that there is little likelihood that ithe Miners' Federation will give the two-thirds' majority, necessary to 'authorise a strike. South Wales , and Scotland are expected to favour a strike, but the Midlands will strongly oppose it.
