Subject to necessary alterations mails will close- at the Chief Post Office as under:— WEDNESDAY, 31st MARCH. On Easter Monday, sth April, the Chief Post Office will be open in all its. branches (except Money Order and Savings Bank) from, 9 to 10 a.m. Mails for despatch by steamers will close at 8 a.m. Mails despatched by trains leaving ou Eaßter Monday will close as follow:—For Wairarapa, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, Bangitikei, Wanganui, and Taranaki districts at midnight Sunday night, 4th April. (These mails will include correspondence cleare.d from the crty and Suburban street receivers at midnight that night). Mails for Auckland and Auckland district despatched by the Main Trunk Express on Kaster Monday will close at 8 a.m. that day. Tile city and suburban receivers will not be cleared during the day There will not be any deliveries by postmen, but on Saturday, 3rd April, the postmen will make an afternoon delivery of correspondence addressed to streets in City Central only. Such correspondence must be posted, at the Chief Post Office by 2 p.m. On Saturday, 3rd April, the Postmen's Department (upstairs, entrance from Feather-ston-street) will be open for delivery of correspondence addressed to streets in the city and suburbs from Bto 9 p.m.; also the public counter for delivery of correspondence addressed to the Chief Post Office, and the parcels delivery counter will be open from 8 to 9 p.m. TELEGRAPH OFFICE HOURS. On Good Friday (which is observed as a Sunday), the Chief Telegraph Office will be open from 1(1 a.m. to 10.S0 a.m., and 5 p.m. to 5.31) p.m. On Easter Monday, the attendance will be 9 a.m. till 1 p.m., and 7 p.m. till midnight. The Telephone Exchange will bo open con tinuously as usual. The next best despatch for correspondence addressed to United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, and America will close at Wellington, on Saturday, 3rd April, at 11.20 a.m., connecting with E.M.S.
