MAGISTRATE'S COURT

Captain W. H. Hennah and Mr. M. O'Connell, J.P.s, presided at the Magistrate's Court this morning. Anthony Cullen was convicted and discharged for drunkenness, and was fined £3, in default a week in gaol, for having used obscene language in a public place. Denis Quilligan, who is alleged to have broken into the premises of Mathewson, Ltd., and to have stolen thereform articles of apparel of a total vahio of £214 3s, was a.gain. remanded.for a week. John H. Morgan, charged with having broken into the premises of the D.I.C. in October, 1918, with intent to commit a crime, was also further remanded till 31st inst. Bail was fixed at £100, with sureties of like amount. Theresa Bussell was committed to the Supreme Court for trial on a charge of haying stolen a sum of £19 from a young man whom she had met in the street. Bail was fixed at £150, with sureties of like amount. (Proceeding.)
