The official opening of the 1220 season of the Mornington Golf Club took place on Saturday. Short addresses were delivered by .the Acting-Mayor (Mr. G. Frost), Dr. J. Bowness (president), and 2.1 r. .7. Bowness (captain). Mrs. .Frost played tho opening shot. l>urinj,r the afternoon h, mixed foursomes was played, the winners being Miss Taylor and Mr. I'VO'Pullivan. Afternoon'tea was served by a committee of ladies. Messrs. -7. H. Belhune snd Co. will soil furniture at No. 20. Mariri-roa'i, Kelburn, Io morrow, at 1.30 p.m.
