Mr. Samuel Gompers, President of the American Federation of Labour, has published the following programme advocated by Labour :—Deflation of currency ; prevention of hoarding and'unfair prices; Federal licensing of all corporations operating for profit; organisation of co-operative production, transportation, and distribution; facilitation of ownership of homes; graduated tax upon all uncultivated usable lands; increased inheritance, income, and land taxes; Governmental advisory supervision of education; public ownership of publio utilities; Government ownership of wharves and docks, and development of water power; election of Federal Judges; legalisation of strikes.
