Purchase of three areas of Native land in the King Country has been completed by the Government. Two of these- are in the Wharopuhunga,' block, one consisting of 10,680 acres and the other of 2092 acres, while the third is ill the Rangitoto Tnhua block, and is 2609 acres in area. The Wharcpuhunga land is not far from the point where the liead^ works of the Arapuni hydroelectric power plant will be established. AH the land is open fern country.
