DOMINION PRODUCE
PROPOSED CONFERENCE
POSTFONED.
The larger and more representative conference arranged as a result of kho recent discussion by the Board of Agriculture, with invited delegates from dif. ferent interests, upon the question of frozen meat and shipping, has" been postponed. It had been anticipated that it woidd be held before Easter, but circumstances have arisen which necessitate its postponement iintil after the taster holidays. One important matter for discussion is ihe question of shipping conditions and freights when the time come.? for Dominion prodiice to be again sold in the open market. The shipping companies were communicated with, but, owing to the position not yet being clear, are not yet able to furnish the information necessary to enable the proposed discussion on these points to bo carried out to the best advantage. They have, however, intimated that they will communicate further as soon as they are in a position to do so.
