BROOKLYN HARRIERS

The annual meeting of the Brooklyn. Harriers and Amateur Athletic Club vas held*9asfc evening in the ciubroom, 135, Cuba-street. Mr. J. 0. Shorland, president, was in the chair, and there was a, large attendance of members. The Chairman congratulated the club on winning the Wellington provincial crosscountry championship, and on once more holding the Whyte and Mackay shield for one year. During the evening six new members were elected. The coining season will see a, great revival in athletics all over New Zealand, and the prospects regarding harrierism in Wellington indicate a record season. The club Vill hold its opening run on 10th April. The following officers were elect, ed : —President, Mr. J. 0. Shorland; vice-presidents, Messrs. G. Bristow, W. Hoverad, X. H. Cummins, P. Harvey, P. A. Wilton, S. F. Fisher, F. W. Moore, W. Cummins, G. H. Barbor, W. ■Bark, D. C. Todd, and W. Copp; captain, Mr. H. Robinson; deputy captain, Mr. C. Donticc; treasurer, Mr. D. Toad ; secretary, Mr. A. Irvine; official timekeepers, Messrs. R. A. Waller, D. C. Todd, and W. Bark; auditor, Mr. C. Willis; handicapper, Mr. D. Wilson; committee, Messrs.: Thompson, bell,, and C. Cummins. '
