FINAL OF PENNANTS,
The weather conditions on Saturday were by no means" ideal for bowling. There was a strong cold wind, and the greens were rafcKer heavy as the result of the recent rains. . . ■ PENNANT WON BY 'NEW-TOWN. The chief event of the afternoon was the final of the Pennant contest between 'Newtown and Kelburn C-lubs. The result was a substantial* win for the South Wellington Club, which has an | excellent Pennant record to its credit,. i as this is tke fifth consecutive season that it has won the . honour, and the eighth fiaie since 1908-9.
