SHORTT'S THEATRE.
As a mystery writer Conan Doyle has. few equals, and the adaptability of his stories to the screen is being proved at Shortt's Theatre this week. "The ValJej of Fear" is a detective story, in which the methods of the great Sherlock Holmes are compared with the methods employed by the American 1 detective agency, Pinkerton's. There are several good supporting films.
