ROLL OF HONOUR UNVEILED A.M.P. SOCIETY'S RECORD. Members of the staff of the A.M.P. Society, Wellington branch and head office, gathered inside the main entrance of the building to-day to witness the unveiling of the society's New Zealand Roll of Honour. Among those present were Messrs. A. de B. Brando?* (chairman), Harold Beauchamp (deputy- [ chairman), E. W. Lowe, and A. F. Rpb■erts, of the board of directors, Mr...A. | Amies, manager for New Zealand, and Dr. Anson, principal medical officer. In performing the ceremony, Mr. Bran, don said: "The close of the war has brought with it problems and complications, both in business and in.social affairs; to an extent probably unequalled ■in history. Those problems and complications are so interwoven with our life to-day that they tend to usurp our thoughts, but tliey have not succeeded in displacing from our minds the deep impression ' made by the vast importance to us of the issues which were" at stake during the war. Defeat meant disaster to the morals and • liberties of the human race. They whom force of circumstances unfitted for active service owe , a great debt of gratitude to those brave men who went abroad to fight for the freedom of their home and for'the safety of their peqple. AYe are all under great .obligation to the parents of those who gave their lives in the struggle. The deeds of the leaders will he recorded in 'history : those .of their brave followers will be remembered in the traditiona of the family, , , ' - '.'.'.' \ "The staff of the A.M.P. Society re- s sponded nobly to the call of duty, and it is fitting that there should be Itopt in the head office a general roll and at each branch a domestic roll of those who served, and of those.who served and.gn.To their lives. We have prepared such a roll for this branch, and have affixed it to the wall of this office, whence it ■will day by day keep green in the minds of successive generations the memory of those who fought, and of those who fought., and died to gain the great vie tory for liberty—a victory for which the members of the A.M.P. Society are, and over must be grateful, because., without. that victory, the A.M.P.' Society, \ could, not have continued its proud boast of being 'amicus jertus in re ine'erta;" ft is my duty to unveil that roll, and, in . so doing, I express the hope that not until at least that brass shall have perished will the fruits of the great victory be lost to the British race." ':.'•" ■" The Roll of Honour, attractively designed by Mr. William Macbeth, a member "of tfce staff, and executed-by Mr, G. H. Meyer, contains the , following names:—F.'H. Barrell, G. Halse, E.
