COAL CONFERENCE
The discussion of the matters in dispute between the mine owners and the miners continues smoothly at the conference arranged by the Prime Minister. Matters are now understood to be nearing an end, but no statement has yet been issued by the conference.
•The Coal Conference has desired Mr. Massey, as president, to announce that the statement appearing in the New Zealand Times this morning purporting to give a report of the proceedings of the conference, is unauthorised and quite incorrect.
