"He took the farm because he wanted to be the last man to go to the war, and I hid him," said a female witness in the Magistrate's Court this morning. The present result of their joint action is that she is suing him for separation and maintenance. A watersider giving evidence in the Magistrate's Court this morning denied that he had ever earned as much as £8 a week, but he admitted that on occasions he had earned £6 a, week. Messrs. Vino and Wilson will-Bell in their rooms, at 2 p.m. to-morrow, jSiiaos and furniture.
