HUTT SEAT
MR. WILFORD AT WAINUI
At Wainui-o-mata last night, Mr. T. M. Wilford, Liberal candidate for the Hutt seat, addressed a large meeting of electors. Mr. H. Cook was voted to the chair. After dealing with questions relating to the land, the incidence of taxation, and the policy for the future of industrial peace, Mr. Wilford pointed out that in the vote-splitting contest for tho Hutt seat, it was now generally admitted that the Reform candidate would easily be third, and he suggested that any vole, cast for that candidate would, help the Labour candidate only.
At the conclusion of Mr. Wilford's address, a vote of thanks and confidence was proposed by Mr. Drummond, and seconded by Mr. Pedersen and carried with but three dissentients.
