At 9 a.m. to-day tha following forecast was Issued for the subsequent 24 hours: — Winds—Moderate to strong southerly winds, veering to westerly northward of Nev/ Plymouth ami Napier; westerlies increasing elsewhere, with v southerly tendency shortly. Barometer—Unsteady, falling temporarily in the South. Seas—Rough swell on the western coast and between Castlepoint and Kaikoura; moderate elsewhere. Tides—Good. Weather—Changeable generally; rain probable in districts with a westerly aspect and in Otago; foygy in parts. It. V. PEMBERTON.
