The weather is fino but windy for the opening day of the Woodville Jockey Club's Meeting. Results: —
Handicap Hurdles, of 150 soys; one mile and three-quarters.—Zeus, 10.8, 1; Hautawa, 9.0, 2; Tuticorn, 9.0, 3. Scratched: Pervolo. Won by a length and a-half. Prince Delaware ran off at the last fence when loading. Time, 3min 24 4-ssec. %.
Trial Plato, of 100 soys; six furlongs.— Gasbag 1, All Cerise 2, Kinsem 3. Scratched : Reparoa, Freehold, Diamond Nap, Turpenite, Achillion. Admiral Advance, Glenfinlas, Avanti, Fortune-teller, and Celmisia. Won by four lengths. Tessares got hung up in tho tapes. Time, lmin 16 3-ssec.
Woodville Handicap, of 500 soys ; one mile and a-quarter.—Crenides, 8.8, 1; Demos, 8.1, 2; Oratress, 7.9, 3. All started. Won by a neck. Time, 2min 8 4-ssec.
Grandstand Hack Handicap, of 120 soys; five furlongs Matty, 7.13, 1; Silver Tongue, 7.10, 2; Makere, 7.5, 3.. Scratched: Elcullus, March On, Princess Marion, and Student. Won by two lengths. Time, lmin 30 3-ssec
