SENIOR CADET "SOCIAL"
The Wellington Technical College Senior Cadets (Nos 30 and 35 Companies) held a " social " in Dustin's Hall, Cuba-street, as a " wind-up" to a successful year. In recent military tournaments nine cups had been won by the companies and these were all on view. Seven of the cups were won in the tourney held on the 29th November and 6th December. There were about 100 persons present at the "social"; included among them were several old boys. Captain M'Alister presided. ' The following toasts were honoured : "The King," "The Company," "The Old Boys," "The Group Staff," "The School," "The Teams," and "Kindred Companies." Items were contributed by Captain M'Alister, Lieutenant Crane, Company Sergeant-Major Stepto., Corporal Twiss, Corporal Carwell-Cooke, Cadet Bell, and Messrs. Scott and Keyes. A quartette—violin, flute, mandolin, and piano—by Sergeant Butcher, Corporal Butcher, Sergeant Keyes, and Mr. W. Armstrong, was much appreciated.
