On the motion of Councillor W. J. Howell, -the Hutt County Council decided to-day to take steps to raise a loan of £3000 for tho purpose of erecting workers' dwellings in the various ridings.
Messrs. J. H. Bethune and Co. will sell at it® p.m. to-morrow, at thoir rooms, l'eatherston-street, a block of land at _handallah, containing 6J acres, with 6roomed dwelling; also a 6-roomed dwelling (fVo. 50, Russell-terrace). On tho same day the firm, in conjunction with Messrs. H. _.
