In the • third-class game, Centics v. Hutt, played at the Hutt, the former team secured a three-point win by 43 runs. Centics batted first and secured 70 runs (Hamilton 22, Pooley 30); Hutt replied with 34 runs. In their second innings Centics declared with five wickets down for 83 (Hester 27 not out, Hamilton 18, Pooley .29), and Hutt scored 76 (Wilson 24, Glennie 15). Bowling for Centics in the first innings, Pooley accounted for six wickets for 6 runs and Smith three for 22. For Hutt, Glennie (five for 33) and R. Lusty (three for 18) were the best bowlers. In the second innings for Centics, Pooley secured five wickets for 27 runs and Smith three for 43. while for Hutt, Glennie accounted for four wickets for 40 runs, In the Junior A match South Wellington defeated Central Mission by an innings and 122 runs. For South Wellington Stevenson (47), Heppleston (28), Booth (23), and J. Bqtt (19) were the main scorers. Stevenson took six wickets for 15 runs. '
