LETHARGIC EX-KAISER
DOES NOT BELIEVE HE "WILL BE
TRIED.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPYRIGHT.) (prmisnrn ra THE times.)
BERLIN, 3rd December
The Times correspondent states that the ex-Kaiser still remains at Amerong'en, sunk in lethargy. He does not believe that he will be tried, and refuses to prepare his defence. He disregards friendly advice to hand himself over to the Allies; and to give them all the information in Ill's power. He continues to fell trees like an automatic wood-chopper, and is fretting because he is unable to eject the tenants who occupy his new house at Doom.
