TRAFFIC TO RESUME,
MELBOURNE, 7th December. As a result of negotiations the transAustraliaa railway • will resume traffic immediately, pending a conference to settle details of agreement. The employees have been 'reinstated.
[On 28th October all the locomotive men on the East-West railway ceased work, demanding increased wages and better i working conditions. They, are dissatisfied with a recent award, and complained that the whole of the drivers on the express service had been disrated from first to second and third class, and correspondingly reduced in pay. On 11th November the line was closed to traffic!
