HIDE AND TALLOW SALES.
Local brokers held their usual hide and tallow sales on Friday last. There was a good attendance of buyers, and keen competition. Farmers freely exercised their privilege of selection of hides and crlff.kins at schedule ra^es. Prices were as follow:—Hides: Ox. heavy, 17M to ISid: medium. 17d to 153 d: light, 17d to" lOd; cut and slippy, lid to 17? d: cow, heavy, VIA to 185 d: medium, 15ld to"lO!-d; cut and slinpy, Sid to 17? d: yearling and kips. ISvd to SQd: nut and slippy. lOd to 27d; calf, cut and slinny. IOJd fo 37,1: bull, stn.g, SJrt to 1M ; hnrse. 12s to 2ns Gd. Tallow— In casks, I'Os to 71s Cd: in tins, 22s to GSs. Horsehair, 15d to ISd: tails. 12d to led.
