THE GAMES ON SATURDAY
The weather on Saturday was not at all conducive to accurate bowling, butall the city and suburban greens were well occupied, and some interesting games were played.
PUBLIC SERVICE MATCH.
The final of the Public Service Tournament was played on the Wellington green, between the Government Printing Office and tlie Public Works Department. The advantage lay with the Printing Office during the early stages of the match, but.very good play, on the part of the Public Works team resulted in the score being 15 to 13 on the-14th head. From then on the Printing Office kept their lead, and gradually increased it, scoring four on the 20th head, and then being seven up. In the last head the Public Works team made a desperate effort, and toanaged to score one, the game ending; Government Printing Office, 24; Public Works Department, 18. This is the second Occasion the Printing Office has won, the previous winners being :—Season 1916-7, Government Printing Office, 8 teams competing ; 1917-8, Post and Telegraph Department, 16 teams competing; 1918-9, Railways Department, 16 teams competing.
