The Mayor has received from Mr. H. Hume the sum of £2 2s for the benefit of the family of the late Mr. Nat-trass, who lost his life in a motor accident at Thomdon recently. At the Mount Cook Police Station this morning,, before Mr. J. W. 11. Coy, J.P., Alfred Henry Patterson was fined 10s. in default 48 hours in gaol for drunkenness.
