"LATEST IN "GO SLOW"
NO APPEARANCE OF PARTIES IN DIVORCE CASES.
A number of divorce cases were set down for hearing before his Honour tha Chief Justice Sir Robert Stout yesterday afternoon. When the cases were calle_ on, however, there was no appearanceof the parties except in one case in which Mr. O'Leary appearing for the petitioner obtained an adjournment until Wednesday next. His Honour said that all the cases on the list in which there was no personal appearance would have to stand over until next sessions. There appeared to be for too much going slow in the whole of the courts of law The same appeared to have happened in Auckland, when only one jury case could be taken in a week out. of 30 or 40 on the list. The cases so adjourned were :— AVinifred Mary Kempthorne Holmes v. Garnett Bowen Holmes. Marion Blair Anderson v. Charles Walter Anderson.
Nellie Allan v, Archibald George, James Allan.
Anthony Jackson v. Doris Gelatly (nullity of maxriage). Violet. Jane Gill Ca«tno v. William Leask Cai'dno.
