FIERCE FIGHTING IN THE
STREETS

LONDON, 10th November.
There were violent scenes at Cork owing to a number of roughs beating a soldier. The latter's comrades rescued him after a sharp fight, in which military pickets, an armoured car, and the police participated. The crowd later attacked the police with stones, and there were many baton charges.
