"DADDY LONG-LEGS."
Mary Pickford adds to her long list of film successes • a masterpiece of acting and character portrayal in the production "Daddy Long-legs." now being screened to crowded houses at The King's Theatre. As Judy, the orpha-n, ill-treated, yet smiling, asr college graduate, as successful authoress, and as the woman to whom apparently hopeless love has come, Mary Pickford is captivatingly chinning. Nor is superb acting the only outstanding feature of the production. The photography and setting are of an unusually high order—perhaps the best yet seen in, Wellington. The picture is probably one of the finest and most wholesome yet screened, the .usually large attendances at the daily matinees and evenings .testifying to its excellence. A dainty prologue is the.dancing of Miss Joan Beere and the dialogue relative to the play between two . small children. Excellent supporting items are also shown. To ensure the obtaining of seats patrons are advised to book their seats at the Bristol Piano Company, where the plan is open daily.
