UNSETTLED CONDITIONS AT HOME
Trade is very unsettled in England, according to a letter which the Mayor has received from Mr. W H. Morton (City Engineer). In some directions, writes Mr. Morton, the conditions are more acute than ever. Of course, the disturbances aro. all due to ' the upset caused by the war. It seems easier to organise industry for a change from peace to war than vice versa, is tlie way in which Mr. Morton sums up his observations.
