ADMINISTRATION OF SAMOA
COLONEL R. W. TATE APPOINTED";
It was announced by the Minister of Defence (Sir James Allen) to-day, that, Colonel Robert Ward Tate had been offered and had accepted the position of Civil Administrator of Samoa.- Colonel Tate was _ barrister and solicitor, and prominently identified with the Volunteer and Territorial Forces. During the war he gave his services as Adjutant-General. Early this year he went to Samoa to relieve Colonel Logan as Acting Military Administrator. The term of appointment is three years.
