An inquiry as to the prospects of legislation to amend the Shipping and''Seamen Act was made by Mr. P. Fraser (Wellington Central). The Hon. W. H. Herries (Minister of .Marine) £aid it depended upon the time that ~was available to deal with such matters. One or two urgent questions might be* dealt with in other Bills.
