UNPLEASANT WEATHER
The atmospheric depression which passed in the south on Saturday night has since apparently remained stationery between the east coast of the South Island and the Ghathams. Saturday's fine weather gave place to, unsettled conditions on Sunday, and rain fell in many parts of the Dominion, especially in West Coast and southernmost districts. Some snow fell on. the high country in parts of the South Island. Strong westerly winds have changed to eoutherlies since yesterday, but with decreasing force generally. The indications are for moderate to strong southerlies, squally at times along the East Coast, and cold and changeable, weather generally, with showers in many parte. The barometer lias a rising tendency.
