Clemenceau, who spoke "English perfectly,, said :: "And I want to congratulate you, Mr. Missey, and I wish to thank you/, not on.your' own. account only; but: I'wish to thank you on; behalf' of•• France,.; for'the: assistance of your brave "men. • France' will never forget." "So spoke, the' Premier of France,"' said Mr. Mass_ey.r ' "France will never forget, nor- will/the Allied nations', and certainly'; 'never will the ■citizens of the British Empire- forget what was. done by the troops .of the British Dominions overseas .'\ .(Applause.)
