The flaxmills of the Manawatu and Wellington district generally are "now in full running. The market is fairly firm in consequence of American inquiry; but there is still an element of uncertainty in the American position, due to a considerable reduction in the price of sisal fibi'e. Approximate prices in Wellington to-day are: Good fair grade, £34 per ton; high point fair, £33; low point fair, £31 ; for any shipment during the nest two or three months. . ;
