The Canadian five-masted auxiliary schooner Luurd Whalen, which had been in port at Auckland for oVer six months, tesumed her Voyage to Vancouver last wee];.' Since she left Vancouver hi April, 1018, she has been in constant trouble. On the voyage to Adelaide she put into Honolulu and. While-waiting for the repairs to be effected her articles' expired, and the crew demanded to be paid off. This the captain refused to do, and the men Rued the captain for their wages and discharge. The. Supreme Court decided that the nlell Were entitled to be paid off, and made an order to that effect. Owing to the. men. not receiving their money after some considerable de lay, they put in a claim for .unpaid wages', and • the ship-was arrested. Later they were given their discharge and money and the vessel was released, .A, new crew was signed on and, repairs being effected to/ tier . engines, she eventually resumed her voyage.
